Mosa Meat is a cultured meat start-up based in Maastricht, Netherlands. Mosa Meat co-founder, Professor Mark Post, was the first person to create a cell based hamburger in 2013. This creation was the result of years of research at Maastricht University, and cost $280,000 to make. The effort was funded by Sergey Brin, the co-founder of Google.
