Arzeda uses computational power to industrialize protein design for the food, agricultural, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Arzeda designs de novo gene sequences based on a set of requirements and specs that their customers provide. De novo gene sequences do not currently exist in nature, but can be customized for a specific output based on the desired requirements. Arzeda inputs customer requirements into computer models, which create amino acid sequences to be synthesized and tested. The company has a capacity to test 10,000 designer proteins per week.
